Clifton Nelson Confer Jr., 47, of Grampian, died Saturday Dec. 22, 2012 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Born May 27, 1965 in Williamsport, he was the son of Clifton N. Confer Sr. and Mary A. (Williamson) Beck.
Mr. Confer had worked for Appalachian Wood products. Prior to that, he had been employed by First Quality Products.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and affiliated with the Grampian Church of God.
Surviving is his father of Montgomery, his companion of 11 years, Crystal Green with whom he resided; five children, Clifton Peter Kaldveer of California, Sara Kaldveer of New Mexico, Chloe Confer of Beech Creek and Noah and Madison Confer, both at home.
Also surviving is a grandson, Elijah; two sisters, Tina M. Kester and her husband, Donald of Bloomsburg and Erin Confer of Montgomery; a niece, Breanna Kester and a nephew, Brandon Kester.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Memorial services for Mr. Confer will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grampian Church of God, Route 219, north of Grampian, with the Rev. Gust J. Madera officiating.
