New Hampshire man posing as fireman arrested for stealing gear

Peabody, NH, United States (4E) – A 24-year-old man has been taken into custody Sunday morning after he was found dressed in a stolen firefighter gear in Peabody, New Hampshire.

According to the Daily Item of Lynn, Peabody Police Sergeant Timothy Maroney, a former firefighter, saw Kasey Donovan walking on Central Street dressed in full gear around 4:40 a.m. and became suspicious.

Maroney approached and questioned Donovan, who appeared intoxicated.

The suspect claimed he discovered the gear in a park.

The officer then informed Deputy Fire Chief Eric Harrison, who confirmed the items were missing from the basement of the fire department headquarters.

Donovan is facing charges of burglary and theft.
