Ex-NBA star Kenyon Martin puts Texas mansion on sale
Arlington, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Former NBA star Kenyon Martin is selling his 15,000-square-foot Arlington, Texas mansion for $5 million.
He bought the 5-bedroom, 5-bath Mediterranean property in 2008 for around $3 million.
It sits on 8.4 acres of land, has a full-sized basketball court, a bowling alley, gym, game room, pond, pool with 2 huge dolphin fountains, 2 water slides, a 10 car garage, white marble floors, and a pecan orchard.
Martin is currently out of the league after helping the Los Angeles Clippers during their playoff run last season.
He came off the bench to average 5.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 22.2 minutes in 42 games with the Clippers while backing up Blake Griffin. The Clippers didn’t attempt to re-sign Martin in the offseason.
Reports allege Martin attempted to start a player revolt against coach Vinny Del Negro in his final season with the Clippers, which was apparently stifled by veteran leader Chauncey Billups.
“There is a notion about me that is not accurate at all – I don’t know who started it or where it came from – that people can’t control me,” Martin told Yahoo! Sports.
“In 12 years there was not one day where I told one guy to dislike anybody. If you ask guys who I’ve played with that know me, they know what it is and know I’m about winning basketball games and competing.”
