Injured paraglider rescued from California cliff

San Diego, CA, United States (4E) – A man in his 50s who was injured after a paragliding incident on the cliffs in San Diego, California has been rescued and brought to the hospital Monday afternoon.

Officials said the paraglider attempted to take off around 1:50 p.m. but something went wrong.

He tried to abort before he fell around 30 feet down and got trapped on the cliffs below Torrey Pines Gliderport located at Torrey Pines Scenic Drive.

After receiving the report about the accident around 2 p.m., responding rescuers on a helicopter managed to pull him out at 3:05 p.m., revealed officials.

The victim was airlifted to Scripps La Jolla Hospital.
