English teachers at Clearfield Area High School coordinated a holiday food-book-pajama drive to benefit the Clearfield Salvation Army.

High school students collected a total of 1,254 items of non-perishable food, pajamas and books for the drive. The public donated approximately 100 items to the effort.

To spur donations, the teachers held a friendly competition among their English classes.

The winning class, shown above, was Mrs. Tiffany Warlow’s second period AP English IV class.

In the photo, seated from left to right, are Marissa McKendrick and Shianne Witherow and standing are Taylor Dixon, Jash Aycock and Micaela Potter. Not pictured are Derek Reigel, Amber Scott, Kaitlyn Maltais and Krystal Wriglesworth.
