Milwaukee, WI, United States (4E Sports) – Dion Waiters scored 18 points and C.J Miles had 16 off the bench as the Cleveland Cavaliers snapped their 9-game losing streak with a 94-82 win over the Milwaukee Bucks Saturday at BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The Cavs solved their losing skid at last after coming through with a collective effort to beat the Bucks for the first time this season.
Cleveland shot 43.2 percent from the field and held the Bucks below 40 percent shooting despite a 37-point explosion from Monta Ellis for their first win in three attempts vs. Milwaukee.
Ellis was the only Bucks player to reach double-figure scoring, however, as the team missed seven freebies and was just 4 of 20 from three-point range.
The Cavs bigmen also rebounded well, beating the Bucks by 7 boards, 48-41, to fill the absence of injured center Anderson Varejao.
The Cavs got solid minutes from their second-year players as Kyrie Irving tallied 15 points and 4 dimes while Tristan Thompson racked up 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Brandon Jennings struggled, scoring 7 points on a cold 3-for-13 shooting night for the Bucks (14-12).
