Obamas to arrive in Hawaii for Christmas holidays

Oahu, Hawaii, United States (4E) – President Barack Obama and his family are expected to touch down shortly after midnight in Oahu, Hawai’I for their annual Christmas holidays.

The first family left Washington aboard Air Force One Friday night.

The president will be in Hawaii for Sen. Inouye’s funeral service Sunday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.

This will be the fifth time the Obamas will be spending Christmas in Hawaii.

Residents living near the beachfront homes where the Obamas’ will stay weeks ago has been informed of restrictions.

The restrictions will be implemented for 20 days starting Dec. 17 to January 6. The Obamas’ with their friends will be staying at the multi-million dollar homes at Kailuana Place.

Kailua residents will see street barricades fronted by U.S. Secret Service agents and Navy Seals and the U.S. Coast Guard stationed in canal and ocean waters.

Obama brings his wife, two daughters, Sasha and Malia, with dog Bo in tow, each holiday season. .Obama spent most of childhood holidays in Hawaii.
