Multi-car accident closes Louisiana highway, one hurt

New Orleans, LA, United States (4E) – A multi-vehicle crash that caused one injury has shut down the Interstate 610 westbound at the Interstate 610/Interstate-10 split in New Orleans, Louisiana at 6 a.m. Friday.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said there is at least one person wounded, and advised motorists to use the Gentilly area and take I-10 westbound to Kenner as an alternative route.

Another road option is the Franklin exit on 610 and head towards 610 where the highway reopens for traffic.
