Shooting, robbery of Florida cab driver generates $1,000 reward

Tampa, FL, United States (4E) – A $1,000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay in Florida for any information that would lead to an arrest in Tuesday’s armed robbery of a 42-year-old taxi driver who was wounded.

According to officials, the taxi driver, Annuel Delicieux, was dropping off a passenger around 3 a.m. along W. Chestnut Street when the armed suspect approached his vehicle and demanded money.

Delicieux threw his cash out the window, but the gunman still fired, hitting him in the chest, and the suspect fled on foot.

The victim managed to drive away from the scene before crashing into a police cruiser patrolling in the area.

Delicieux was brought to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was treated. He is now in stable condition.

His passenger, who was trapped in the back seat, saw the whole thing happening, however, investigators believed he is not involved.

Police are searching for the shooter.
