Two killed, seven hurt including two firefighters in Ohio house fire

Shaker Heights, OH, United States (4E) – Two people died and several were hurt, among them two firefighters, after flames engulfed a house in Shaker Heights, Ohio early Tuesday morning.

According to authorities, a man and a woman were discovered dead about 4 a.m. on the second floor of the residence along Daleford Road by responding firefighters.

Five people who managed to escape the house before firefighters arrived were taken to nearby hospitals.

Shaker Heights police revealed two firefighters were also wounded but the nature of their injuries remained unclear. They were treated at the hospital and released.

The victims were not identified and the fire is still under investigation.
