Police Report: Sandy Township

  • Someone broke into vending machines on Wednesday at the Clarion Inn, removing approximately $27 in coins and causing $500 worth of damage to the machines.
  • A Brookville woman reported that her purse was stolen Wednesday while she was at Wal-Mart.
  • A 31-year-old DuBois man and 65-year-old DuBois woman were involved in a minor accident on Wednesday in the area of NAPA. 
  • A 47-year-old Bee Line Hwy woman reported Wednesday that a known 69-year-old neighbor was driving his all-terrain vehicle in her yard. Police handled the situation without incident.
  • A Hanes Drive resident reported Wednesday that someone was parked in her handicapped parking spot.
  • White Pine Road residents reported on Thursday that someone had been coming into their residence during the nighttime hours and taking small amounts of money, medications and a phone.  The investigation is continuing at this time.
  • Treasure Lake Security reported on Thursday that someone vandalized the port-a-potty at Little Flipper Lake.
  • A 21-year-old Sykesville man reported on Thursday that while he was in the parking lot of Kwik Fill, he was assaulted by two unknown men.  The man was treated at the DuBois Regional Medical Center for his injuries.  The investigation is continuing.
