Two Injured in Vehicle vs. Deer Accident

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Two people were injured in a vehicle-versus-deer accident at 5:30 p.m. Thursday along Airport Road in Washington Township, the DuBois-based state police reported.

Cynthia J. Corbin, 62, of Brookville was traveling westbound when a deer suddenly entered the roadway into the path of her vehicle. Her vehicle struck the deer, which then partially came through her windshield.

Both Corbin and her passenger, a 16-year-old Brookville girl, were wearing their seatbelts. Corbin sustained minor injuries. The girl was injured, but the severity of those injuries weren’t known by state police. Both were transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West for treatment. 

The Falls Creek Fire Department, Amserve Dusan Ambulance and Bailey’s Towing assisted at the scene.
