Children and adults shot in Connecticut school massacre

Newtown, CT, United States (4E) – At least 27 people, including several children and a gunman, died after gunfire erupted inside a school in Newtown, Connecticut Friday morning.
According to ABC News, the shooting involved two gunmen. One shooter died while another is believed still at-large.
CBS News reported nine adults were killed and the rest of the victims are children.
State Police got the first 911 call at 9:41 a.m. and emergency units responded immediately.
The school children have been evacuated to the nearby Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire Department and some have reunited with their parents.
The superintendent’s office announced a lockdown in all the schools as a preventive measure.
Newtown officials cancelled afternoon kindergarten and midday bus runs.
About 600 students from kindergarten to fourth grade attend Sandy Hook Elementary School.
