Pittsburgh, PA, United States (4E) – A 53-year-old woman died Tuesday morning after three vehicles hit her while she was crossing a street along the Strip District in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Police said the accident occurred about 7 a.m. when a van turning left from 14th to Smallman Street, first hit Judith Kollar as she used a crosswalk to pass Smallman Street, afterwards, two other vehicles slammed into her.

Kollar was rushed to Allegheny General Hospital where she later died.

Responding officers said the van’s driver stayed before the second vehicle, a box truck, hit her and drove on. The third vehicle’s driver attempted to stop but the woman still ended up underneath the vehicle.

The driver of the third vehicle also remained at the scene.

Sgt. Daniel Connolly believed the large truck driver was not aware that he hit the woman.

Police are now asking the public help in looking for a box truck with a photo of a woman on its side.
