Man, 31, fatally shot in New York City

New York, NY, United States (4E) – A 31-year-old man was killed Monday afternoon after gunfire erupted along the busy Midtown area in New York City.

According to Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne, Brandon Lincoln Woodward from Los Angeles, California, was shot in the back of the head at close range and was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital where he later died.

Police said the suspect appeared from behind the victim while both were strolling along West 58th Street between 7th Avenue and Broadway.

The shooter then jumped into the front passenger seat of a vehicle parked nearby and left the scene.

Police are still looking for the gunman and his accomplice.
