Woman Flown to Altoona after ATV Accident

PIKE TOWNSHIP – A 48-year-old Glen Richey woman, Kim J. Maines, sustained moderate injuries and was flown for treatment after an all-terrain vehicle accident that occurred at 10:25 p.m. Saturday on Carbide Road in Pike Township, reported the Clearfield-based state police.

Maines lost control of her ATV for unknown reasons. It overturned and came to a final rest on top of Maines in the middle of the roadway. She was flown to the Altoona Hospital for further medical evaluation.

State police were assisted by the Curwensville and Glen Richey volunteer fire departments, Curwensville and Clearfield emergency medical services and Medstat.
