Undocumented immigrants detained by California police

San Diego, CA, United States (4E) – About a dozen suspected illegal immigrants have been held by authorities along Interstate 5 in Carmel Valley, California early Monday.
According to San Diego police, an officer noticed a van on the southbound side of the freeway near Carmel Valley Road around 4:30 a.m.
Police, who inspected the van, found people inside the van with wet and sandy shoes and pants, looking like they were recently in the ocean.
The detainees have been handed over to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
No other details have been released.
