Police Report: Lawrence Township

  • Police had information requested regarding threats from a social networking site and explained laws for disorderly conduct and terroristic threats.
  • A possible game law violation occurred on Dairy Lane, where a shot was reportedly fired from a vehicle. An investigation revealed that the shot didn’t originate from the vehicle; it came from a shooting stand along the roadway.
  • A psychological emergency occurred on High Level Road, and police stabilized the situation.
  • An incident of theft occurred on Sycamore Lane, which stemmed from a civil issue. Police resolved the situation.
  • A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Clearfield Mall. The vehicle appears to be abandoned, and police are attempting to locate the owner.
  • A motorist was assisted on state Route 879.
  • A toolbox fell from a red pick-up truck; however, when police arrived, the toolbox wasn’t at the scene.
  • Police assisted with crowd control during portions of Friday night’s football game. No incidents occurred at the game.
  • A residential burglar alarm occurred, and everything was found to be secured.
  • Police are searching for a 1995 tan-colored Honda Accord that was stolen Friday night from the Budget Inn. The vehicle is a four-door station wagon with a Pennsylvania registration of HXL6341. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Lawrence Township police.

  • An incident of trespassing and a possible game law violation was reported to police. The persons involved had permission to hunt on the property, and they had fired a shot in a safe direction.
  • Police are investigating the theft of an electronics accessory for an iPod. The item was stolen from a vehicle on Mount Joy Road. The investigation is continuing at this time.
  • Police responded to a vehicle versus couch accident that occurred on River Road.
  • A non-reportable accident occurred in the parking lot of the Snappy’s Convenience Store.
  • A vehicle was reportedly driving on Rails to Trails in the area of the Skate Station. The vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
  • An incident of harassment by communication was reported to police.
  • A single-vehicle accident occurred on the Old Erie Pike after a Grampian man lost control and struck an embankment. He sustained minor injuries in the accident. His vehicle was towed from the scene.
