- No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle mishap at 6:35 p.m. Dec. 5 on State Park Road in Pine Township. Angela D. Roos, 36, of Clearfield was traveling northbound when a deer emerged from the east berm. The Roos vehicle struck the deer. Roos was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the mishap.
- An incident of harassment occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. Saturday on Shearer Drive in Knox Township. Two Olanta adults engaged in a verbal altercation, which turned physical when they slapped each other in the face. Both are to be cited for assault/harassment through the district court in Houtzdale.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between 12 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday in Morris Township. Someone damaged a 55-year-old Morrisdale man’s steel fence and a 72-year-old Morrisdale man’s mailbox. The suspect also drove their vehicle in the latter man’s front yard, leaving approximately 200 feet of marks. Damage is estimated at $250.
- One person sustained minor injuries after a two-vehicle accident at 4:30 p.m. Friday on Hannah Street in Woodward Township. John W. King, 51, of Osceola Mills was stopped behind the operator of another vehicle who was preparing for a left-hand turn onto Fifth Avenue. A vehicle operated by Rae H. Passmore, 18, of Madera approached the King vehicle from behind. Due to her being distracted, she failed to stop and rear-ended the King vehicle. King was wearing his seatbelt. However, he was transported to the Clearfield Hospital with minor injuries. Passmore was wearing her seatbelt and she wasn’t injured. She was cited for careless driving. All passengers were wearing their seatbelts and not injured. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
