Duchess Kate’s morning sickness continues, William pulls out of military event
London, United Kingdom (4E) – Duchess of Cambridge Kate, following her release from the hospital for hyperemesis gravidarum, is once again suffering from morning sickness, causing her husband William to pull out from a scheduled military event Sunday.
“The Duke of Cambridge will no longer attend the British Military Tournament at Earl’s Court this evening, but will spend Sunday privately with the Duchess instead,” a spokesperson for St. James Palace said in a statement.
“It is well known that hyperemesis gravidarum often recurs and, until further notice, to allow the Duchess a degree of privacy during her pregnancy, we do not intend to offer regular condition checks or advise of routine developments associated with it.”
Meanwhile, before the second bout of acute morning sickness, the expectant father commented about his wife’s condition to former Centrepoint Chariman Michael O’Higgins at the Winter Whites Gala Saturday saying, “I don’t know why they call it morning sickness—they should call it all day and all night sickness. It’s a long old process but she is getting there. She feels like it is going to go on forever.”
The royal pregnancy news was announced by St. James Palace Monday last week, following Kate’s hospitalization for acute morning sickness, which stretched to four days.
