Indiana police find dead passenger in car

Gary, IN, United States (4E) – Police discovered a dead 36-year-old woman inside a vehicle during a traffic stop in Gary, Indiana Thursday night.

According to authorities, police found Kristy Hacker dead in the passenger seat after they stopped an old Pontiac Grand Am with a massive front end damage along 25th Avenue and Harrison Street around 7:30 p.m.

The car’s driver was later brought to a nearby hospital for treatment, while a child who was sitting in the back of the car during the incident, was unharmed.

Hacker was pronounced dead at 8:26 p.m. but the ruling on the cause of her death is still pending, according to a statement by the Lake County Coroner’s office.

Reports stated there were no signs of visible trauma on the body and police suspect no foul play.
