The Last Word
Dustin: “Steelers fans finally have some momentum thanks to that monumental win over Baltimore, it was much needed. They may not win the division, but I see them having a strong chance of winning the remaining games in the schedule, especially with three of the last four at home. Monday night’s game is really intriguing as the best record in the league goes against what has been the best team of the last decade. It will be hard, but I am going with Houston to take down New England, as long as Foster has a strong game.”
Dave: “A lot of NFL intrigue, as usual, but I want to focus on two games: Army-Navy and the high school playoff matchup. Army-Navy is the purest division-1 college game left, played for pride and played with class every time. Army has been down but I look for this to be a VERY close game this time around. As for the Prep-McDevitt matchup, Clearfield getting the chance to host two undefeated teams in a Western final is simply awesome, and I hope the community attends Friday night and experiences what promises to be a close, exciting, well-played game.”
Chris: “What a win for Steeler Nation! I still cannot believe that Charlie Batch was able to beat the Ravens. What a win. Now, with or without Ben, they must prove they are capable of beating a team that isn’t as talented as they are. The San Diego game is definitely a trap game. Let’s hope that they’re ready. If Ben misses his fourth consecutive game, it will be the most he’s missed as a Steeler. I can’t see that happening. Ben gets the nod over 38-year-old Batch. Unfortunately, I don’t think the Steelers will get any help from the Redskins or Cowboys.”
Rusty: “Ben may be back, I’m picking them with Charlie in mind. Most of the rest of the games should be close. Giants and Texans look untouchable right now – jinks. Ravens are faltering and Redskins look good right now. Navy stays in control of the military bowl.”
Jay: “A lot of games that I know nothing about this week, surprise! Taking Erie Prep and Navy for the same reason – I don’t know. Just playing hunches in the NFL as usual. The Pats have one chance to show that they’re still the team to beat in the AFC and they’ll shine!”
