Pasadena, CA, United States (4E) – A Christian church in California received hate e-mails from radical Christian groups angered by its hosting of a Muslim convention.

Rev. Susan Russell said the All Saints Church in Pasadena, California has been receiving the hate e-mails since Friday. One such e-mail published by Huffington Post accused the church of “consorting with the Enemy that is Killing Christians Worldwide.”

Rev. Ed Bacon, another official of the church, claimed in an NBC4 interview that the hate e-mails came from Fox News National Security analyst Ryan Mauro, founder of the website www.radicalislam.org.

The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) is holding its annual convention in a Christian church for the first time in an attempt to promote positive relations between Christians and Muslims. The convention set on Dec. 15 is expected to be attended by 1,000 Muslims.

MPAC president Salam al-Marayati said he has reported the hate e-mails to the FBI and local police to make sure that the venue is safe and secure.
