Duchess Kate home after hospitalization for acute morning sickness
London, United Kingdom (4E) – Duchess of Cambridge Kate looked relaxed and was all smiles as she went home Thursday after being hospitalized for three days due to hyperemesis gravidarum or acute morning sickness.
The glowing mom-to-be, who is believed to be under 12 weeks pregnant, was accompanied by husband Prince William as they exited London’s King Edward VII hospital. She managed to give a warm smile to press waiting outside before hopping into their ride back to Kensington Palace, where she is to rest.
Carrying a bouquet of yellow flowers and wearing a dark coat and lilac scarf paired with black stockings and knee-high boots, the 30-year-old Kate said, “I’m feeling much better thank you.”
Kate’s stay in the hospital, while seemingly peaceful, was almost disrupted by two Australian radio DJs who caused a stir when they posed as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles asking for an update about Kate’s condition. The 2Day FM DJs have since apologized via Twitter.
Despite this, a spokesman for St. James Palace said, “Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank the staff at the hospital for the care and treatment the Duchess has received.”
