Phoenix, AZ, United States (4E) – Former child star Frankie Muniz has confirmed Tuesday that he indeed suffered a mild stroke and was in the hospital last week.

The ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ star posted on twitter, “I was in the hospital last Friday. I suffered a “Mini Stroke”, which was not fun at all. Have to start taking care of my body! Getting old!”

It is not clear what caused the mini-stroke but according to TMZ, Muniz was taken to the hospital Friday when his friends noticed that the actor was “acting really weird,” that is, having trouble speaking and understanding words.

Meanwhile, despite his sudden stroke, the 26-year-old is unstoppable and back on the road as he tweeted, “Next Sunday night my band is playing a show close to where I grew up in Teaneck, NJ at Mexicali Live! Hope to see my old friends and family!” Muniz plays the drums for his new band, Kingsfoil.
