Police seek Sacramento man who stole a cab after throwing up in it

Sacramento, CA, United States (4E) – Sacramento police are searching for a man who vomited inside a taxi early Sunday morning and then after a confrontation, stole the vehicle.

According to officials, the taxi driver picked up a man and a woman around 1 a.m. Sunday and brought them along 16th and Q streets. The male passenger, who was drunk, threw up in the cab.

Police said the cab driver stopped and argued with the drunken suspect, which resulted to a scuffle. Meanwhile, the woman got out and paid cash for the fare. Then the suspect abruptly jumped into the driver’s seat and took the cab, leaving behind the driver and the woman.

It was reported that the woman left the scene and the vehicle was found later that day

The male suspect was described as Asian American, about 39-year-old, 5-foot-8, with a thin built.

Taxi driver and the taxi company he is working for were not identified.
