Barre, VT, United States (4E) – Four teens are facing charges for sending two false bomb threats at a school in Barre, Vermont.
According to police, Spaulding High School has received three bomb treats since November 20, the most recent was obtained Tuesday.
The threats were reported after notes left in the school’s common area were found.
In each case, authorities had to evacuate the building and thoroughly search the area but nothing suspicious was found.
Police and school officials pinpointed Tuesday the four juveniles and cited them into court for “causing false public alarm” in relation to the first two threats.
Barre City Police Chief Tim Bombardier said the threats wasted police resources, fire department resources, the school resources and interrupted hundreds of students on their classes.
Authorities are still investigating the threat made last Tuesday.
