7-year-old North Carolina boy killed in all-terrain vehicle crash

Salisbury, NC, United States (4E) – Authorities are investigating a fatal road accident in Salisbury, North California that killed a seven-year-old boy and severely wounded another on Thanksgiving Day.

Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said two boys were riding in a blue Arctic Cat 550 all-terrain vehicle ‘most of the day,” and witnesses claimed that the 7-year-old was driving while and an 11-year-old boy was in the passenger seat.

Investigators, who responded to the call around 3 p.m., were told that the two boys were heading with tempo, around the left side of the house, when the 7-year-old tried to turn, causing the ATV to roll.

The younger boy died while the older boy was flown to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with serious injuries.

Deputies are still investigating the accident.
