Three in custody after Virginia police pursuit

Portsmouth, VA, United States (4E) – Three people have been detained after a police chase on Interstate 664 in Virginia Thursday afternoon ended in a car crash.
In a press release, authorities said an officer attempted to halt a car driving west on Portsmouth Boulevard around 4:15 p.m. during a routine traffic inspection.
The driver, who failed to stop, fled towards Interstate 664.
According to officials, the officer trailed the vehicle from I-664 onto Route 58 where the driver crashed his vehicle after trying to make a U-turn along Snowden Street.
Three people, two men and a woman, were arrested.
Police did not identify the people involved and no specific charges on them have been released.
Nobody was hurt in the accident.
