Steelers Big ‘Papa’ Ben Roethlisberger announces birth of baby boy

Pittsburgh, PA, United States (4E Sports) – Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger announced Wednesday his wife Ashley gave birth to their first child.
Roethlisberger shared the good news by posting it on his website, saying “We want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, it really means a lot to us. God is so good!”
According to ESPN, Big Ben’s son weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce, and was just over 19 inches long.
Roethlisberger, who will skip Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns due to rib and shoulder injury, was congratulated by his teammates during Thursday’s practice at the Steelers training facility.
The Steelers quarterback promised to post the first picture of his baby boy this weekend.
