Nassau, MN, United States (4E Sports) – Seth Curry scored 25 points and Mason Plumlee chalked up 20 points and career-high 17 boards as the Duke Blue Devils improved to 4-0 with an 89-71 victory over Minnesota Golden Gophers at Imperial Arena at Atlantis Resort.
The fifth-ranked Blue Devils remain unblemished and seemingly untouchable early this season, relying on their 1-2 punch of Curry and Plumlee.
Curry lit up the scoring once again while Plumlee dominated the play inside for Duke, who turned a 40-33 halftime lead to as big as 18 points in the second half.
Second-year guard Quinn Cook scored 17 points and Ryan Kelly contributed 14 in another big time win for the Blue Devils.
The Golden Gophers were led by Rodney Williams Jr., who racked up 16 points and 7 boards but it’s not enough to pull off an upset.
Duke will be staking its clean slate against the also undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes on November 28.
