California cyclist fatally shot while delivering strawberries

Sacramento, CA, United States (4E) – Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man from Sacramento, California who was shot Tuesday night while riding his bicycle to bring strawberries to his brother.

Sacramento Police believe Michael Burdan was an innocent victim and detectives Wednesday continue to examine the details of the shooting that happened in Del Paso Heights around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Relatives revealed Burdan was headed to his brother’s house, who resides a few blocks away, to deliver strawberries and a bottle of bleach.

Police and medical personnel, who arrived on the scene after receiving a report about gunshots and seeing a person lying in the street, discovered Burdan’s body.

No suspects or motive have been released.

Police spokeswoman Officer Michele Gigante said they are working hard to solve the case.

Crime Alert tipsters could receive a reward of up to $1,000.
