Brooklyn, NY, United States (4E Sports) – The Florida Gators and the Indiana Hoosiers continued to post strong performance early this season as both teams successfully preserved their unblemished record against respectable college basketball programs Tuesday.
The No. 7 Gators recorded their fourth straight win after blasting the Savannah State Tigers by 18 points, 58-40, Tuesday at Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
Patric Young racked up 13 boards and 11 boards and guard Mike Rosario also added 13 as the Gators jumped on a strong start and sustained their aggressive play up to the finish.
Guard Cedric Smith and forward Rashad Hassan scored 11 points for the Tigers, who slipped to 3-3.
Florida has been dominant on their home floor in their first four game but that might change in the coming days as they will take on UCF on Nov. 23 and Marquette on Nov.29.
Meanwhile, the Hoosiers proved they aren’t just a fluke after booking an 82-72 overtime win over the Georgetown Hoyas.
Cody Zeller and Jordan Hulls scored 17 points each while Christian Watford registered 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Hoosiers, who blasted the Hoyas 18-8 in the overtime period.
The Hoosiers will next take on Ball State on Nov. 25 and University of North Carolina on Nov. 27.
