350 Christmas trees stolen in New York

New York, NY, United States (4E) – Authorities are searching for a vehicle and trailer loaded with 350 Christmas trees that were reported stolen Wednesday morning in New York.

According to Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies, the gray Chevrolet pickup and black cargo box trailer were removed from a Walker Lake Ontario Road residence in Hamlin sometime between 11:55 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

It was reported that the 350 Douglas-fir trees taken cost approximately over $12,000.

Police said the gray truck has a license plate of 22081JP with “Niagara Landscaping” on the back and a phone number starting with area code (716).

The black trailer is around eight feet tall and 28 feet long with the license plate of BC485OZ.

Anyone who sees the truck is urged to call police at 911 or call CrimeStoppers at 423-9300.
