Pats tight end Rob Gronkowski breaks arm in win over Indy

Indianapolis, IN, United States (4E Sports) – New England Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski underwent surgery for a broken forearm suffered in Sunday’s 59-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Gronkowski’s return could take four-to-six weeks, which would either be at the end of the regular season or at the start of the playoffs.
The tight end broke his left forearm on an extra-point attempt in the fourth quarter and did not return. .
The Patriots are currently playing without tight end Aaron Hernandez, who on Sunday missed a third consecutive game since aggravating an ankle injury on Oct. 21.
The team has five tight ends on their 53-man roster, including Visanthe Shiancoe, Michael Hoomanawanui and Daniel Fells.
Hernandez has been listed as “questionable” in recent weeks.
