Falls Creek Man Sustains Minor Injuries in Union Township Accident

UNION TOWNSHIP – Minor injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 7:18 a.m. Monday on the DuBois-Rockton Road in Union Township, according to the DuBois-based state police.

Nathan R. Adams, 20, of Falls Creek was traveling westbound in the right-hand lane. While rounding a left-hand curve, his vehicle hit a patch of ice at which point it began sliding in a counterclockwise motion.

The Adams vehicle slid south across the roadway and into a ditch along the south berm. His vehicle traveled 40 feet in the ditch and then overturned. At that point, his vehicle traveled 27 feet before coming to a rest on its roof in the ditch, facing east.

Adams was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He sustained minor injuries.

State police were assisted by the Brady Township Volunteer Fire Department.
