New York, NY, United States (4E Sports) – Junior forward Devon Collier erupted for 27 points and grabbed 14 boards off the bench as the Oregon State Beavers blasted the Purdue Boilermakers, 66-58, Friday at Madison Square Garden.

Coming off a heartbreaking 65-62 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide, The Beavers bounced back in an emphatic way as Collier delivered one of his most productive games in his college basketball career.

Collier shot 9 for 15 from the field and 9 for 11 from the free-throw line to carry the scoring load for the Beavers, who went 41.8 percent overall on the floor.

Powered by a hot-shooting Collier, Oregon State dictated the tempo throughout the first 20 minutes as the Beavers hit the locker room with a 39-28 edge.

But the complexion suddenly change in the second half as the Boilermakers made a huge rally to cut the deficit by three points, 54-51, with 4:23 minutes left to play.

However, Collier once again stepped up at crunch time as he knocked down two crucial jump shots and capped it up with a dunk in the last four minutes to seal the deal for Oregon State.

Freshman A.J Hammon scored a team-high 20 points for the Boilermakers, who now dropped to 3-1.

The Beavers will next take on Montana State on Nov. 25 before facing no.7 ranked Kansas Jayhawks on Nov. 30.
