Indianapolis, IN, United States (4E Sports) – The NFL fined referee Tony Corrente for uttering obscenities in a game between Indianapolis Colts and the Miami Dolphins last Nov 4.

Corrente inadvertently left his microphone on during a conference with members of the officiating crew.

The obscenities he said were then heard by the television audience and to the crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The NFL vice president of officiating Carl Johnson called the conduct “inappropriate for a game official.”

Johnson issued a fine in the amount of a game check, which is approximately $9,000.
