Dallas, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion could likely suit up Friday night against the Indiana Pacers after skipping five games due to a sprained MCL.
Marion, who averaged 8.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.3 swats, assumed the leadership role in the absence of Dirk Nowitzki as he sparked Mavs to a 4-1 start.
However, the Mavs (5-4) lost three of their last four games since he decided to rest.
“I’m gonna give it a shot,” Marion told reporters after the morning shootaround in Indiana, according to ESPN.
Nowitzki is expected to miss at least four more weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee last October 19.
