16-year-old Vermont teen reported missing

Milton, VT, United States (4E) – A 16-year-old boy from Milton, Vermont who took his toothbrush and withdrew all his money from the bank has vanished, police said late Monday afternoon.

According to authorities, Alexander Nichols was last seen Saturday morning on his way to work, but he never showed up.

Police confirmed Nichols has communicated with a teenage boy from Mesa, Arizona who was reported missing on Sunday. The unnamed Arizona teen’s note for his parents stated his intention “to meet up with others that understood him.”

There has been no activity on Nichols’ cell phone since Saturday and he has not contacted his family, police said.

Nichols may be driving a blue/dark teal 1999 Toyota Corolla with Vermont plates FRY979.

The boy’s description and his vehicle have been registered by officials into the National Criminal Information Center.
