Jeffrey L. DuFour, 52, of Clearfield died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at his residence.Â
He was born July 26, 1960, at Philipsburg, a son of the late Alexander M. and Margaruette C. (Gobidas) DuFour.
He was a 1978 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School and worked as an electrician maintenance man at the Genco, Shawville Plant for 28 years.
He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 459; the Clearfield American Legion; the Clearfield Moose; the Croatian Club of Smoke Run and the Janesville V.F.W.
He’s survived by two daughters, Jessica R. DuFour and Chelsey M. DuFour, both of Curwensville; three sisters, Darlene DuFour of Gaithersburg, MD; Charmayne Kitko and her husband, Chuck of Fernwood; and Jody Abernethy and her husband, Robert of Williamsport.
He is also survived by his former wife, Annette Temchack-Olszewski of Curwensville; a number of nieces and nephews and many close friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dean DuFour.
He had an active role in helping coach his two daughters’ softball and soccer teams at the Clearfield High School and Clearfield Recreation Leagues. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
At his request, there will be no public visitation. A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Janesville United Methodist Church.
Refreshments will follow at the Janesville VFW. Friends and family are welcome.Â
