Catherine Maxine Kelley, 82, of Philipsburg died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Nov. 2, 1930 in Port Matilda, she was the daughter of the late Forrest F. and Mae (Stiver) Wills. On April 5, 1951 in South Philipsburg, she married Samuel C. Kelley, who died Feb. 16, 1985.
She is survived by two sons, Samuel T. Kelley and his wife, Carol and Kenneth Kelley, both of Philipsburg; one daughter, Judy Cox and her husband, Ray of Curwensville; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Kelley and her fiancée, Michael Shoffner; Leo Smith and his wife, Leslie; Thomas John Kelley and his wife, Dawn; Crystal Bloom and her husband, Jamie; Steven Kelley and his fiancé, Nancy Bennett; Robert Kelley and his fiancé, Jessica Condon; RJ Cox and his wife, Brenda; and Jill Cox and her fiancée, Bill MacDonald; 12 great-grandchildren Leo Owen Smith, McKalie Perks, Aden Smith, Shawntae Kelley, Thomas Kelley, Nick Bloom, Alyssa Bloom, Kai Kelley, Allen Bennett, Jessica Ann Kopchik, Samantha Mae Kopchik and Cameron Moore; a sister Thelma Gingery of Julian; and a niece, Debra Gill and her husband, John of Julian.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She was a graduate of Port Matilda High School.
She worked in the laundry department at the Presbyterian Home for 12 years and was also a homemaker.
She was a member of the Bald Eagle Baptist Church and the Centre Hill Grange.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bald Eagle Baptist Church, Julian, with the Rev. David R. Spaugh officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery, Julian.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg.
