Police Report: Clearfield Borough

- Police are warning residents about a computer scam in which people receive a message, stating they’re engaged in illegal activities. People are then requested to send money to the FBI at an out-of-state address. The computer is then locked by the scam. Police advise this is a scam and not send money as instructed.
- A motorist was assisted with unlocking their vehicle.
- Police checked on the welfare of a local man with known medical problems that hadn’t contacted his family as normal. The man wasn’t at home.
- Police responded to the Clearfield Hospital to assist with an unruly patient.
- A domestic assault occurred on West Front Street after which a male needed medical attention. A female was arrested and placed in the Clearfield County Jail for a probation violation. Charges of simple assault and harassment are being filed.
