Palo Alto, CA, United States (4E) – Facebook’s Timeline feature may undergo a makeover soon. There are reports that the social media giant is testing out new features for Timeline. One of the features for user profile pages will have all activities such as friends, places, and updates on the left side and all posts will appear on the right side.

On the current Timeline posts, friends, places and updates show up jumbled on both columns. The Timeline was launched in December of last year and many users weren’t too enthusiastic with it. Users found Timeline difficult to use and confusing.

In fact, the Timeline feature was so unpopular among users that they created a Facebook page named “I hate FB Timeline, and want to disable it ASAP” reached 26, 000 likes immediately after its release.

In the revamped Timeline, profile pages will no longer show a line dividing both columns. The line dividing the current Timeline feature have dates indicating important events for users.

According to rumor website Inside Facebook, the disappearance of the dividing line “makes it look less like a timeline.”

Only a “small percentage of users” can use the revamped Timeline feature, Inside Facebook added.
