Chicago, IL, United States (4E Sports) – Quarterback Jay Cutler covered 186 passing yards with one touchdown and Robbie Gould converted a 41-yard field goal at the final whistle as the Chicago Bears extended their winning streak to five games with a 23-22 victory over the Carolina Panthers Sunday at Soldier Field.

The Bears once again showed their unmatched resilience as they overcame a 19-7 lead in the fourth quarter to squeak past the Panthers.

Cutler started the run with a 12-yard TD throw to tight-end Kellen Davis. Cornerback Tim Jennings then intercepted a pass from Newton and returned the ball 25-yards into the end zone.

The Panthers had another shot at victory following a 45-yard conversion from Justin Medlock. However, Cutler and company made one significant final drive, allowing Gould to kick the game-winning field goal as time expired.

Newton covered 314 yards with no TD and two interceptions while wide receiver Steve Smith covered 118 yards on 18 receptions for the 1-6 Panthers.
