Raptors sizzle in second half to beat Grizzlies

Memphis, TN, United States (4E Sports) – Andrea Bargnani scores 21 points and Kyle Lowry added 18 points and seven dimes and the Toronto Raptors closed out their preseason campaign with a 120-106 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies Friday at the FedEx Forum.

The Raptors continue to stay hot in the preseason, making them one of the ‘sleepers’ this coming 2012-2013 season.

Bargnani shot 6-for-12 from the field (3-for-4 from three-point range) while Lowry and Jose Calderon did a masterful job orchestrating the Raptors offense.

Lowry and Calderon combined for 14 of the Raps 30 assists, while Amir Johnson and Rookie Jonas Valanciunas each chipped in with 15 points.

The Raps trailed 66-59 at the end of the first half but came out in the second half sizzling hot on the floor.

Toronto outscored Memphis 32-21 in the third quarter and 29-19 in the fourth quarter to capture their sixth win in seven preseason assignments.

Former Raps guard Jayreed Bayless delivered 17 points, 7 boards and 5 dimes for the Grizz but the 21 turnovers proved to be a huge factor. Memphis also decided not to play their starters in also their last preseason game.
