Police Report: Philipsburg PSP

  • An incident of harassment occurred sometime between 12:01 a.m. and 12:20 a.m. Tuesday on B Street in Philipsburg Borough. A 27-year-old Philipsburg woman and a 26-year-old Philipsburg man engaged in a physical altercation over text messages the woman had received. Charges have been filed through the district court.
  • An incident of harassment occurred sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday at a Sunnyside Hollow residence. A 42-year-old Port Matilda man and an 18-year-old Port Matilda man became involved in an argument during which they both shoved and grabbed each other. Neither man requested prosecution in this case.
  • An incident of burglary occurred at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at a South Eagle Valley Road residence. Someone entered a Julian woman’s residence through a rear door. Once inside, they realized the woman was there and fled on foot. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Philipsburg-based state police at 814-342-3370.
  • A log truck caught fire sometime between 1 p.m. and 2:09 p.m. Wednesday at a small sawmill operation along South Mountain Road near its intersection with the old Bald Eagle Pike in Taylor Township. The log truck, a 1977 Mack “DM,” had an attached loader and was damaged as a result. The investigation is continuing into the cause of the fire.
