Illegal Aliens Apprehended with Stolen Trailer on I-80

SANDY TOWNSHIP – Two illegal aliens were apprehended with a stolen trailer at 9:50 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 80 eastbound at exit 101 in Sandy Township.
The DuBois-based state police and the DuBois Motor Carrier Enforcement Team stopped a truck-trailer, which didn’t have any brake lights. Upon inspection the trailer had a missing VIN plate. The registration plate was also partially missing.
The trailer was stolen from Virginia Beach, VA and the occupants – two Granite City, IL men – were illegal aliens. Both were apprehended and issued immigration warrants. One man is being charged with receiving stolen property, state police said.
