Secret Service officer charged with sexual assault of 14-year-old girl

Woodbridge, VA, United States (4E) – A 51-year-old Secret Service officer assigned to a top government official’s residence has been arrested Monday for suspicion of sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl in his custody.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, Hector Reynaldo Cuellar has been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child by a custodian.
Police documents cited that “the investigation revealed that the 14-year-old female victim was sexually assaulted by the accused family member on separate occasions between August and October of 2012.”
The man from Woodbridge, Virginia is a uniformed officer tasked to secure Vice President Joe Biden’s home in Washington, D.C.
Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan informed the media that the agency is aware of the arrest of the employee.
He added that “he has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of judicial action.”
The police report stated that Special Victim Unit detectives were initially notified about the abuse after receiving a report of a sexual assault that happened in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County last October 21.
Investigators arrested Cuellar the next day.
The suspect is being held in jail without bond.
