Police Investigating Possible Drugging

CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Police Department has initiated an investigation into a possible drugging incident.
A 58-year-old township resident was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for illness. Hospital personnel discovered illegal narcotics in the resident’s system, which they advised police. In addition, police were advised the resident had been at the R-Bar in Hyde on Monday, and there could have been foul play involved with the resident’s drink.
Police were advised that an R-Bar employee is aware of the matter and will review surveillance footage to determine if anyone tampered with the resident’s drink.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
